Vans Park Series - Vancouver

Dennis Regan

The Vans Park Series came to Mother Hastings. The Vancouver, BC bowl hosted some of the best in the world. The skateboarding was intense. Every skater pushed his limits.

Cody Lockwood received his Pro Model board from Lifeblood Skateboards on the deck of the bowl just before qualifying started.

The qualifying heats were intense. 4 heats of 5 skaters taking 4 runs. 45 seconds or until you fall.

Lifeblood Skateboards team riders Adam Hopkins and Cody Lockwood competed in the qualifiers to get to the semi finals. Cody Lockwood came through and advanced to Saturday's big show.

Once the rain stopped and the clouds parted, the contest started.

Lifeblood Skateboards and Plague Hardware team rider Kevin Kowalski made it into the finals.

He didn't seem interested in the win, he was focused on the gap that Dalton Dern had done the year before.

The highlights of the entire weekend are available in the video below.
