Speedlab Wheels Restock!
We are fully restocked in all the Speedlab Wheels!
From their standout Bombshells to the new Cranksters. Specially formulated in many different durometers, sizes from 52mm to 66mm, these wheels are meant to roll.
All of their wheels are poured in the USA. Tested and developed by their skate team to perform in all conditions.
The Slappy Hour wheels pictured below were developed by Jason Adams. 3 sizes of wheel all in a 99A durometer.
Along with Jason Adams pro wheels, the rest of the team has pro models as well.
Speedlab Wheels not only makes great wheels designed by great skaters, they also collaborate with unique partners.
From raising money for the Montana Pool Service, to giving artists a space for their art to roll on a skateboard.
If well designed wheels in all sizes and durometer, working with companies to raise money for skateboard parks, and pro models wheels aren't enough.
Speedlab has collaborated with classic skate rock bands and skateshops to produce unique wheels that reflect each partnership.

Speedlab Wheels Ad In King Skateboard Mag
Last year we ran a full page ad featuring Speedlab Wheels team rider Joe Fitzpatrick. The photo was shot by AK.
This year Jason Adams has officially joined the Speedlab Wheels team.
3 versions of the super popular Slappy Hour Wheel were created.
These wheels have been incredibly popular. The slightly softer durometer, allows slides, but gives a little more grip than a standard wheel.
Control and speed for all your skateboarding needs.
Ask for Speedlab Wheels at your local skateboard retailer. If they don’t have it, ask them to contact Platform Distribution and we will get it sorted out.
Ash Bowl Bash 2019
Speedlab Wheels and Blood Wizard skateboards sponsored the 2019 Ash Bowl Bash.
This is the second year of the contest. An event that was created to stoke out skaters on the amazing bowl at the Ashbridges Skatepark in Toronto. It brings together people from all over the city and province to push each other and progress themselves.
The team behind Ash Bowl Bash is focussed on sharing the joy of bowl skating. Encouraging young and old to ride the tile, grind concrete, and take to the sky.
The contest went off with a bang.
Watch and see.

Kai Hoecke made another recap video. Great choice of music. Especially letting the music of The Exploited come through from the on site DJ at the end of the video.

New Ads, Old Ads
We are starting the 2019 skateboard season here in Canada. It also marks the start of our ad campaigns in Canadian skateboard magazines.
To get some inspiration, we looked through our past advertisements.
From ads in the defunct Concrete Skateboarding mag, to the long running King Skateboard mag, through the newly reborn SBC Skateboard mag, even the newest Medium Magazine. There was a lot to go through.
We support print media. There is something about paging through a paper magazine that scrolling through an app will never replace.
We even put an ad in The Tubuloids comic book / flexizine release this spring.
Someone had to take the picture, someone had to create a caption, another had to write a story. Then the whole thing is put together to make a cohesive article. The editor comes through and makes sure everything speaks with the voice of the magazine. These voices change over time. Editors come and go. Move to new magazines etc..
Then the whole thing goes to a print shop, where blank paper is transformed into a skateboard mag.
It exists to capture time. Feeling. Acccomplishment. Art.
From print shop to skate shop, then on to homes, bags, bathrooms, and coffee tables. From person to person it is passed and paged through. Always inspiring.
Inspiring the next trick, next trip, or magazine.
We support print media. A bridge to the past, and inspiration for the future.
