Matt’s Ramp Session
Last spring, Vulcan Bolts took team rider Kae’o Kass to Edmonton to skate at the Local 124 Parking Lot Jam.
You can see that video here.
Adam Hopkins also came along for the trip. Since he joined Bacon Skateboards in 2024, he has been on a tear; Building his own company Ramptime Productions, coaching olympic skateboarding, building a vert facility.
The man is busy.
This weekend trip Adam called up Matt to see if we could stop in and skate his mini ramp in the woods. We drove out Friday night to skate this beauty.
The crew at the ramp was amazing. Great people there to skate this ramp. The session was already blazing when we arrived. After some quick hellos and how ya doin’s, the session heated up.
Thanks to Matt and everyone there for a great skate. The stoke was high. The skating was even higher.
Huge thanks to Ty Williamson for coming along and capturing everything with his camera. You are the best.

Adam Hopkins' Guest Pro Model On Bacon Skateboards
This summer, Adam Hopkins was given a guest pro model skateboard on Bacon Skateboards.
After working with Pamela Prostarr MacCallum for a few weeks, they came up with a graphic that captures Adam’s Ramblin’ Scramblin’ skateboarding lifestyle.

Close Up!
From the top to the bottom, tons of details stick out. From the soaring eagle to the soaring scooter coming out of the skatepark bowl, there is so much going on. The rays of the sun behind the van, coming over the mountains, are actually strips of bacon. The multiple sheets of plywood and brooms on top of the van show that Adam is ready to make any spot work. Inside his smile shines through the windshield of his travelling home. He has put many miles traveling in the US and Canada in search of the next spot, DIY, or skatepark. A Ramptime Productions sticker made the cooler!
How did this model come about? Once Adam Hopkins started riding Bacon skateboards, the idea struck both Adam and Bacon Skateboards that a guest model would be appropriate. Adam is a well recognized skateboarder across Canada and the US. After the design was finished, they went into production.
Platform received its first delivery of his pro model in 2 sizes just before July 1st. We packed up some 8.25 and his preferred size of 8.6 and set out to surprise him at the Seylynn Skatepark. That day is the kick off to The Bowl Series. A contest celebrating all of the old style skateparks in Vancouver and surrounding areas. Seylynn, Griffin, White Rock and finishing in Whistler. The best skaters of the series is crowned the King Of The Bowls. Adam had already won that years ago. Taking first place at every stop when he earned the crown.
This day was different though. It was surprise time. How do you surprise someone who already know he is getting a model? Get 10 kids to deliver a board each while he is talking with friends between contest events.
Surprising Adam With A Delivery Of His Pro Model!
Along with the pro model skateboard, we have stickers in two versions. One sticker of the entire graphic and the other is a close up on the van. Perfect for van lifers, or those that will travel to any spot, no matter how far it is!

4 Inch Van sticker
There are also 2 customs bumper stickers that Adam created. ‘Momma don’t let your babies grow up to be skateboarders’, has a silhouette doing an invert on the Bacon skateboards logo.
Bacon Skateboards and Adam Hopkins have released this board graphic in Canada and the USA. It is available at skateshops across Canada from Platform Distribution.

Portal Dimension Mini Ramp Jam
During the 7 Gen Skate Festival in November of 2023, Portal Dimension clothing put up cash for a mini ramp contest.
Each entrant was given one 45 second run to come away with some money.
Lots of skaters jumped at the chance for a good halfpipe session. As it was a part of the larger course, most had only planned a few tricks in it for their run.
The mini ramp jam gave the 7 Gen skaters a chance to really skate the ramp and get the most out of it.
The video was filmed and edited by Nate Correia.
The judges had a hard time coming up with the winners but 3 people walked away with cash from Portal Dimension clothing.
